創辦人江榮原(阿原)由於自身的過敏膚質，而著手自製手工肥皂。阿原肥皂秉持著「愛惜人身，將心比心」的初衷，製作肥皂的一切素材都從身邊開始，本持著天然使用。而位於台灣山坡的魚腥草、田間的左手香以及民間常用的艾草等青草藥材等，都被其研究成肥皂的材料。為了肥皂的能量與生命力，阿原肥皂嚴格排除了工業用的純水和過濾水，堅持從陽明山山區接引天然湧泉來製作肥皂，唯有活水可以甚深的轉化細胞與洗滌身心，因為阿原皂人秉持著「清潔，也是一種修行」遵循頭陀行。
2007年夏天，在陽明山開闢占地三甲的「阿原農場」，貫徹自然農耕並自行種植各種藥草。肥皂和肌膚之接觸比什麼都深刻，要用最好與最真的。阿原肥皂不添加色素、香精、定香劑、定色劑等化學合成劑，也不為了讓肥皂結實飽滿而添加硬脂酸與石臘。這就是簡單而真誠的阿原肥皂傳奇……
100% natural soaps from farmed herbs and spring water of Taiwan, made over 45 to 60 days, these soaps are gentle and mild enough for both healthy and problem skins
Yuan Soap is a hand-made soap factory, made from medicinal plants of Taiwan local materials, collect in person at mountain or forest, or come from cultivation of natural organic farm supply. Even a lemon, a green bean and a wax, they are all made from the best organic materials in Taiwan. Chemical, artificial spices, preservatives have been excluded.
